Description of route of synthesis:
Dissolve N - (3,4-dichlorophenyl) acetamide in concentrated sulfuric acid, slowly add nitric acid dropwise at controlled temperature for electrophilic nitration of the benzene ring, and introduce nitro group at the amide ortho position; After the reaction is complete, slowly pour the system into ice water to precipitate a solid. After filtration, water washing, and drying, N - (4,5-dichloro-2-nitrophenyl) acetamide is obtained.
