Description for route of synthesis:
Under inert gas protection, using DMF as the solvent, dimethyl malonate is first mixed with sodium hydride at low temperature to generate a carbon negative ion intermediate; Then slowly add iodomethane and control the reaction temperature for nucleophilic substitution reaction; After the reaction is complete, it is quenched, extracted, washed, dried, and then purified by vacuum distillation to obtain the target product dimethyl methacrylate.
