Description
Description for Route of Synthesis:
1. Add toluene and 1,10-decanediol to a three-neck flask, then add 40% hydrobromic acid and stir the mixture at room temperature for 18 hours.
2. Under 0℃ conditions, add p-toluenesulfonic acid monohydrate to the crude product obtained above in a solution of dihydropyran in dichloromethane. Slowly heat the resulting reaction mixture to room temperature and stir overnight; then add water to quench the reaction.
