Description for Route of Synthesis:
In a dry reaction vessel, 3 '- bromoacetophenone is dissolved in tetrahydrofuran. Under appropriate temperature and stirring conditions, benzyltrimethylammonium dichloroiodate is added in batches as a halogenated reagent to control the reaction process and cause chlorination reaction at the α - position of acetophenone.
