Description for route of synthesis:
Dissolve vitamin D3 in a mixed solvent of dichloromethane and anhydrous ethanol, and add an oxidation system composed of potassium permanganate and lead acetate under low temperature conditions to selectively oxidize and crack the side chain double bonds; During the reaction process, by monitoring the progress of the reaction, after complete conversion, quenching, extraction, washing, drying, and purification by column chromatography or recrystallization are carried out to obtain the target product intermediate idecalcitriol.
