Description for route of synthesis:
Add 4-hydroxypyrrolo [2,3-d] pyrimidine to excess phosphorus oxychloride, heat to reflux for chlorination reaction, and convert hydroxyl groups into chlorine atoms; After the reaction is complete, excess phosphorus trichloride is removed under reduced pressure. The residue is slowly poured into ice water, neutralized to neutrality with sodium bicarbonate, extracted with ethyl acetate, washed, dried, concentrated, and purified by recrystallization or distillation to obtain the target product 4-chloropyrrolopyrimidine.
