Description for route of synthesis:
Using dichloromethane as a solvent, under the catalysis of 4-dimethylaminopyridine (DMAP), para aminobenzoic acid is first reacted with carbonyl diimidazole (CDI) to activate carboxyl groups and form active intermediates; Subsequently, dimethylamine hydrochloride was added and subjected to amidation reaction under alkaline conditions. After the reaction was complete, the target product 4-amino-N, N-dimethylformamide was obtained by extraction, washing, concentration, recrystallization, and vacuum drying.
