Description for route of synthesis:
Starting from pyridine, in the presence of catalyst 1 and potassium carbonate, the reaction temperature is controlled and chlorine gas is slowly introduced for selective chlorination reaction; By adjusting the amount of chlorine gas introduced and the reaction conditions, achieve dichlorination at positions 2 and 5; After the reaction is completed, it is quenched, washed with water, dried, and then purified by distillation or recrystallization to obtain the target product 2,5-dichloropyridine.
